    Default Veteran's Day "Thanks"

To all of you Vets who post here and those of you with sons / daughters serving in our armed forces now, I would like to extend my sincere "Thanks" and appreciation for your and their time and service in protecting our country. And to the Vietnam vets, "Welcome Home Soldiers"!

    Thanks Larry,

All to often Veteran's Day goes off unnoticed. For most people is is just a day off during the week. For those of us who "have been there" it truly does have a different meaning. If you are reading this thank a teacher; if you are reading it in English, thank a Vet!

A special thanks for all of you vets who did the "heavy lifting" in keeping us safe and free over the years. Thank you all for your service to our country. Also a Happy 230th Birthday to the U.S. Marine Corps. Let's remember to keep those serving now in our prayers until they are all safely home. God Bless you all and may God Bless America.

I'm an old vet Larry. So was me dad and grandad. I still believe in GOD and COUNTRY. All at work know I served some "hard time" in Vietnam. Most stop by to say thanx. Just another day to some people though. I am proud that I did my duty and proud that I am an American. I know you fellow vets know what I mean.

You're right on, Tom........glad I was there to serve, and grateful to have made it back. It was an honor to have served my country, and if I weren't so dang old, I'd do it all over again. :p

Thanks to the members that haven't forgotten 'Nam...we appreciate your diligence and concern. Now we have to pray for our troops in Iraq and Afganistan. Be it known, we support our troops. They will not receive hate and antagonism on their return.
