I have been monitering this forum since early spring but this is the first time I've had the nerve to post. I would like to thank everyone for being so open with their hard learned information. Thanks to Crappiepappy I have gone from always dipping minnows to having the most confidence vertically fishing jigs, the choice colors of which I have learned on this site. I always pay close attention to the post of Dennis Bowers as we mostly fish the same lake. That tip about orange/yellow tubes payed off big time last week in a different lake. And I will take a sack of White Lightening tubes over a bucket of minnows any day. Thanks again.

We've had some luck using that color combination when the carp are spawning in mid-summer at the lake we fish. Doesn't seem to work there any other time, though. - Roberta

    Thumbs up Welcome RedBobber ...

and thanks for the mention. Diversity is the spice of fishing ... learning new ways and means, to catch our prized friend, the Crappie !! No one method or bait will always work ... so keep your eyes and ears open, and you'll learn many different ways to catch 'em and enjoy catching 'em :D
Don't rule out minnows ... there'll be days when they outshine anything you got in your tackle box. And keep experimenting with those "artificials", too !!! They work - and they're fun to use.
Welcome to the Main Message Board ... and don't forget to drop in and post of your exploits, on the Ky Board. ...........luck2ya .......cp
