Default Truman Lake 12/12 Ice fishing

Met up with Ranger397 and his friend Mike this am and left in the dark breaking the ice, thought it was only 1/2" thick..... daylight came and it was a different story, a lot of it was 1" thick..(not good) finally made it to where we thought some crappie would be and they were.. there..... we ended up keeping 45 real nice ones and give another boat one limit to help them out.... had 20 or more in the 1.2 to 1.9 range and the other 25 were 11"-12" fish....... any color worked except purple/chart... it was a dud..... Kaz showed up about 11 am and I think he said his biggest was a 1.8 so fishing was good, getting to them wasn't..... Got ready to head in and Kaz is such a nice guy he broke a trail back to the ramp for us..... your trail would freeze back over in an hour...... we fished cedars all am long...... and they were loaded.... my advice is don't try the ice it isn't thawing a dam bit, cloudy all day and no wind to help thaw..... most came from 10-12' down in 15' fow.... heck of a trip thanks.. Lenny and Mike...... and Kaz.......

Boy Howdy, looks like breaking the ice was worth it.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

That's real fishing when you are limited to where you can go!

I am thinking you might feel different if we'd been in your boat. :D
