Obviously, many of us use more than one jig on a line at a time. What have you found to be the most sucessful distance (based on catch rate) between two jigs? 6"? 12"?, 18"?, 24"?, 30"?, 36"? or something else??

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts. If you have any additional thoughts, tips, or special instructions, please let us know.

This is clearly the most informative crappie fishing site I have found on the net, and I love it.

Thanks everyone,

Ralph

That's a darn good question! Some guy's over here use 3 jigs at a time. From my personal fishing 12" apart seems to be the best....keep in mind I did not measure them, just a gestimate.

If spider rigging 24" to 36" in deep water, 18" to 24" if less than 12' of water. If casting two jigs and a float about 12".

I use 8" to 12" unless in deep water the 24"

I like my jigs 18 to 24'' apart. Remember that crappie feed up, if I am catching the crappie on the top jig then I know the bottom jig is to deep. When they are biting both jigs I know I have the right depth for the day.

Generally 12" - 18" apart.
