    Default Table Rock Trolling

went to Table Rock for a few hours on both Sat. and Sun. and trolled crankbaits for the first time. Didn't have a great amount of luck but did manage 9 nice crappie. the smallest being 12.5 inches. It took us awhile to figure out what we were doing but we had a blast. also, caught a ton of spots and a few largemouth. found that 1.6 was the best speed. trolled bandit 300's in shad colors.

we trolled along creek channel ledges that had timber. we tried to stay just outside the timber so not to lose any crankbaits (lost one anyway). for the most part we concentrated in 30 to 40 ft of water.

I would take 9 over 12.5' anyday!!! Sounds like you found a good pattern there.

the bites were few and far between, but when we caught one it was worth it.

    Default Hot Kentuckies

I fished Table Rock Saturday and laid into the Kentuckies. Caught Ten Crappie 10.5 - 12.5" Spider Rigging 12 - 18' in 18 - 26' on channel edges. Wind blown points were producing the most.
Ran out of minnows because the spots were so hot. I tandem jig with two poles and throw one. Black/Red/Chartruese was working well. As soon as the sun when behind the clouds the Crappie Disappeared.
Overall a good day except my Four Stroke still isn't running right.
