Default Marshall State School lake 12-06-09

    Cold.........
Went yesterday for about 20 min, first toss black/chart jig, line got heavy, turns out BIG bass, let it flounder around for a while to get it to the dock and as I reached to lip the the thing, "Plink" the line broke, wanted to land it to weigh it.
Today, first toss of same color jig, 2 lb bass, coaxed it down the walk way on the dock to get it to shore and took pic and released it.
Caught a few crappie, "keeper" size for this lake, had allot of ticks, tugs in between the handful I kept, stayed after it for about 5 1/2 hours until the steel toe boots were freezing my feet.
Was listening to the Broncos WHIP the Chiefs in the head phones. Cold, but not a bad day :D

I am not surprised you caught fish, however I am shocked, totally shocked that the broncos beat the CHIEFS, man the way the chiefs are playing I figured the broncos would send in the third string ball boys and the crippled duck to give the chiefs a chance,

congrats on the fishing day, I ran dogs, and read crappie stories all day.

    go dawgs

Beagle, I've been meaning to chat with you about dogs, do you train them? or do you just breed them? This thing I have should be able to tree squirrels, raccoons and I don't see why they couldn't be good for hunting rabbits.
Send me a pm if you can share some info.

heck I will share right here, it's your thread and I don't mind, yes I train dogs, in the process of working two beagle pups right now, got the first bark out of the runt today, and it was great, I will give you the best advice ever, this advice comes from john walter plybon, best dog man in 40 states, pay attention-- let your dog tell you what he wants. pay attention, watch, learn. it it's a good dog just expose it to what you want it to do and be patient.

I have started dogs for the big boys, field trilers and show dogs, mostly just sitting and watching the dog, it's built into there brain and you dont have to do anythig but turn out and watch,

one more thing, I like to teach obedience first, you know come here, load, no, look for em, teach the dog to come to you and mind the hunting will come naturally to the dog, promise,
