    Default Forget winter,...I want spring!

Man I dislike it when winter rolls around. I don't ice fish,so I am getting bored already. The boat is already winterized and I am itching for spring to come so
I can get back out on the water,...Ohhh to only be able to move down south
so I could fish and boat all year round, but I can only dream of doing that!

We had a very heavy frost on morning and we hit 32 degrees on another. Yup, I've got enough too. Even way down in La.

I love it! Was 22 here this morning, and the fish are biting, no, jumping in the boat! It gets cold, but never enough to ice the lakes. Definitely my favorite time of year.

Yep. Twenty-something and the only truck in the parking lot
Just me and the other loons (birds) fishing. Looked like they were catching
    plenty of shad.

Had a great day enjoying not being waked by skiers and bassers,
only gripe was a stupid float plane that did touch and goes for what seemed
like an hour down the lake from me. That thing is LOUD

We had some snow flakes fall the other night, and it's been lows in the mid 20s to upper 30s, highes right now not breaking much out of the 40s... and i'm in LA... supposed to be warm in the South... yall northerners need to grab a hold of those dipping cold fronts and keep them up there... and let us get back to our Southern weather... I hate the cold and winter.

Generally winter time night fishing is the best time to boat the real slabs around here. During the winter we do have some bitter cold nights some years in the single digits and teens (rarely though), but generally night time temps usually settle at around the 30 degree mark (+/-) with days in the 50's. Our surface temps remain in the mid to upper 40's during the latter parts of winter usually. I like the winter time myself.:p

iTS 5:30 pm, 21*, not cold enought to make hard water. They are catching rainbows thru 5" of ice at the higher elavations. Woke up this morning to 4" of that white fluffy stuff. I must be getting old, I like the warmer weather to.

Do you night fish with lights and slip floats during the winter, anchored over brush piles? I thought night fishing was for the summer but if you catch em in the winter at night then I gotta try it.
