I'll be hitting the coves at Smithville to keep out of the wind.

I am on vacation next week and will be on the boat everyday next week. It is 852 ft long so I hope it has a livewell in the front. I would hate to run to the back everytime to put a fish in the livewell. May get to try some ocean fishing Thursday during our Stirrup Cay Island excursion. I will be thinking about everyone next week when I am sitting around a pool having a cold one. The winter pattern should be in full force on Truman by the time I get back.

    Enjoy the vacation Jigging.

And TNRIDGE, Put in at the W. ramp, take a right under the bridge, and go to the second cove on the left (I'm counting the area next to the bridge as a cove) and you'll find tons of shad and crappie. I want to say it's shady hollow cove. There's an old lake dam that runs across the mouth of that cove. That's my winter spot every year on Smithville. Just google for a smithville lake map and it should be noted on there.

And welcome to the KC metro.
