Where would you get a spare key for a 200 Evinrude? I have a friend who dropped his into Watts Bar today while fishing. He still had a spare. I do not. I have tried to have one made but no one has the right blank. No dealer close by. The key does have a number on it.

Most boat dealers have a whole board of replacement keys. I went to my local dealer and gave him the number on my key and he turned around and picked it off the board and handed it to me. Cost about $5.00 if I remember right.
That's right on the number. My dealer had to order mine, And tennTodd lost his and got a new one by the number on the switch. I was told that locksmiths don't carry them. I'd like to hear why. Take your spare when you order and pick up just to be sure.

ace hardware have hard to find keys
I found an Evinrude dealer that had the correct key and he sent me a couple. The number is on the key. It is hard to read because of the rubber cover. He ask me to send him $8 when ever . Can't beat that.
I also called a dealer. They mailed me a key based off the numbers.
