How many of you include a plate of slabs on your table for the the holiday lunch or dinner?

HA! I think not. These slabs are something you won't be interested in.

Thanks Mr. Beagle. I've got a few family members that asked me to fry up some fish for Christmas. I've never had fish for the holidays, but am not opposed to it. Just wondered what everyone else did.

We let our kids decide on the menu & we fix it. It has been fish & fried taters many a times. The only fish I have is crappie. They havent decided yet this year but I'm ready.

Speaking of frying fish... My grandma is 92 - her and my late grandpa used to take me crappie fishing every year as a kid...

This spring I caught a bunch of crappie at LOZ and have several bags of filets that have been in the freezer since - saving them to eat with her.

We are planning on doing this a couple days after Christmas - they'll still be okay to eat, right? They are in gallon zip lock bags frozen solid with water

That reminds me of the first fish fry I had. I fried up about 100 fillets. But to make sure I had something to eat for the people that didn't like fish, I had fried chicken, hamburgers, and ham. The fish was the first thing to go, and the people kept asking for more. I couldn't belive it. From then on, everyone keeps asking me when the next fish fry is going to happen.
