    Default Stockton Lake

I fish Stockton out of State Park Marina. They have moved what
I call the breakwater out accross the mouth of the cove. I don't know
if that is the right description, but thats what i've always heard it called.
It's across the mouth or points of the cove and I think it would make a
great place to put some plastic. The lake is so low I cant get my toon
out due to anchor cables attached to the dock. When I can
I'll start dropping plastic and post where it's at later on. the breakwater is
in sections which should make it easy to keep track of where the plastic
    is located.

chef and cook...I'm sort of a "hobby chef" myself. I took about a year and a half of culinary classes at the college here then dedcided that I'd rather cook for my family and friends more than I wanted to cook in bulk for a bunch of picky strangers. I love to cook though, I do a big bar b que every year for christmas dinner. Kind of a texas christmas, I guess.

chef...how is the fishing on stockton these days. I'm also from the Show Me State. Never fished Stockton myself but my dad has a few times. My uncle caught a tiger musky out of there a few years back. they both said it was a windy son of a gun.

Never!!!! I'd rather fished in the dead of winter than in July with temps hovering at 100.

I fix meals for my kids and grandkids too, usually barbeque or lasagna,
they get a kick out of it, so do i. I nightstalk stockton for crappie,
and usually do pretty well, not to brag but a lot of guys do well there.
the lake is the lowest it has been in 30 years, so the newspaper says
and i believe it. i cant get the pontoon out of the marina due to cables
and such and the low water. a friend of mine killed the bass last saturday
in maze creek, in five to six feet of water on the east side on chunk rock,
throwing crank baits and jigs. i was up there 3 or 4 weeks ago and they
had finished moving the 'breakwater''. you can usually fish inside the cove
as long as you tie up to the breakwater. most people tie up to the outside
or inside but dont go any further. as soon as there is enough water to get
the toon out i will start putting plastic along the breakwater and other places. get ahold of me before you come down and i'll let you know
where the plastic is and where i'm catching fish, if i am. this year has been bad for fishing, i havent done much, been messing with attractors. promised myself i will fish more this coming year, orders will have to wait a bit. in march the crappie may still be on the bluffs.

    best regards
