Default Got My Chirstmas Present Early

Well I bit the bullet and bought a G-Loomis for myself for christmas.
It's a 5'4" GL2, Fast Action Light Power. I paired it up with my Shimano Saraha, should be a sweet rig. Havn't got a chance to fish it yet but I already like the action. Very firm, dosnt flop all over the place. It should also provide some serious dock-shooting distance.

I own 3 Loomis rods, 1 I have had for 22 years. Pricey, but don't think you can buy better. Good luck!

It wasnt too bad, 130 ish. It is a completly differnt animal than my UL bass pro microlite. The backbone is great, I am starting to believe (what I've been told) that you dont need that ultralight takle for crappie as long as you've got good sensitivity.

Up until this year I used the Loomis and a carrot stick that I bought and I loved them. Talking to folks on here, I also bought a 10ft crappie rod. I don't dock shoot, just dip the trees as Monty and bwillaub have shown me, and I am comfortable with either. I think you will really enjoy the Loomis

That's a nice rod, Meller. I hope it gives you the success and pleasure you are hoping for.

That should make a great dock shooter.
