    Default New Custom Rods....

Just arrived. After I saw Skips, I hadta have it. Rods made by Cherokee Rod Company. Red, white, and blue trimmings. Blue reel seat and Blue eyelets. I don't know the techo stuff, but they sure are purdy. Maybe Leland can explain the details. I can't.

Ordered a coupla Okuma Stensons S1 10a reels.

Ok Tom, I prolly should know the answer to this, but what's the symbolism of one crappie on one handle and two on the other...the wife catches more fish so hers is the two crappie pole?? :D

    Default Customwood Red Cedar Rods

That's right Tom; They are RX7 graphite model IP842, which is a 2 power inshore popping model blank. But over the years we have found them to be an ideal action for crappie. Blue nitride guides with matching skeleton reel seats mounted on 7"x2" Red Cedar Customwood grips with the seat inserts cedar as well. All guides are white NCP underwraps with red/white/blue spacedyed overwraps. I know they look delicate but we have fished ours HARD for 2 years and the cedar is sealed with rod epoxy and very durable....if they manage to scratch, just buff with a tiny bit of minwax and their good as new! Enjoy them Tom , we sure like ours and so does everyone that fishes them.:D

I am very pleased with the rods Leland. Reels should be in next week. They have been on back order (new model). Hope to try it all out in a couple of weeks.

Like i told yu, I ordered the Okumas cause the were Blueish in color. Good as reason as any to get them. Theys justa line letter outer and roller upper.

    Thanks for the quality.
