Its always great to see pics of fish up north. Those are great looking gills and the photos are excelent. Just wish more of you northern boys would post on here. keep after them Barron. GREAT JOB.
I got another weekend of bluegill action with CK and Andy "the wookie", they were still biting good, with lots of big fish coming to the boat. Same depths, around 24 ft, slider floats cast out from the boat gets the most fish. I got a few jigging with my Power noodle jig rod, that was fun!.
I got fish on many different baits, including Keiths hair jigs, Stub grubs, diamond jigs, flutter bugs, etc. I liked to put a couple of waxworms on to get them to bite better.
MT Bucket: Another big sunfish weekend

Those are some great pictures!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do the gills grow so big in that lake? What kinda of "slider floats" and bobber stops do you like to use for 24 ft deep?

Hi Tom
I use a thill mille lacs center slider, and a standard prepackaged stop knot with a plastic bead between.
I like enough split shot to set the float so only the orange part shows above the water. that makes it easy for the fish to pull down, plus it helps identify bites that dont pull it down, when see the yellow band come up above the water I know I got to set the hook!
