We went out to Rush Run Saturday afternoon/evening. The water temp had dropped about ten degrees to 54 in the last week. Nobody was setting the world on fire there and neither were we. BP was 30.48 when we left the house, so we figured on a tough bite.

We saw plenty of trout jumping and feeding on the bugs that were dropping into the water. As the light level dropped, the gills started doing the same and bass were feeding right up against the bank, but nothing was hitting . I probably should have put a fly on, but after trying everything else in the box, said the heck with it. The way this trout release is going, there ought ot be plenty of fish left after ice up. - Roberta
