Has this happened to you...
...when you head out in the morning for a day at the lake.
You picture a great day at the lake, because it's not always in the 70's mid November. You pull the boat out, raise your outboard to put the transom saver on, and then you hear a high pressure water/hissing sound. You then think to yourself, "What the *$%$!" You head to the back of the boat and you see hydraulic fluid all over the place. Then the explanative big guns come out, "Son-of-a-BANG, Son-of-a-BOOM!" After the blood pressure comes back down you scratch your head and think, how the heck did this happen. Then it dawns on you. The previous day you were using the trolling motor backwards to get away from a big bad white swan and ran into a tree and something just didn't sound right. Motoring away you say to yourself, that oil streak is normal. The outboard must be running rich. No matter, because tomorrow is going to be another great fishing day.
I know there is someone else out there with the same story. So, let’s hear it.
