Those are a couple hogs.Your lake management is paying off in a big way.Way to go guys.I wish more people would take time to do a little more in our local lakes. We seem to have a lot of crappie but the size is not there.
I've been fishing Lake Greeson for 25-years and I've never seen as many big, healthy crappie as we've seen the last couple years. I think the nearly 700 Bamboo Crappie Condos we've dropped in the last three years is probably the main reason. Another contributing factor is probably the abundance of threadfin shad in the lake. That's likely due to decreased numbers of white bass and mild winters for several years. The mild winters have also given the crappie a longer growing season.
Back in the day it was unusual to catch a 2-pound crappie but in the last seven days we've had at least one 2-pound or better crappie every day. Today we landed a 17-inch, 2-pound, 6-ounce White Crappie
and a 16-inch, 2-pound Black Crappie
and a few more gooduns
If they keep going like they are we'll see several three-pounders by February.

Very impressive. What's the average life span of crappie back there?
nice slabs you are defiantly helping the local fishing with all the added habitat
The fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad
Lookin good...You sure you're not fishing in Mississippi?:D Glad to see the hard work is paying off.
