Report on my fishing trip to Lake Dirks

The trip to just get away for a while and catch some Crappie, my wife said we were not going to take any fish we would catch enough to eat. That was a JOKE before it was over we were hunting a place to go eat fish. I have had some bad trips but this was on the top of the BAD LIST I fished 4 days hard and trided every thin I thought I new and cought 3 Crappie. Even tried trolling with crank bates cougnt 10 Bass about 8" long. The morril of this story take some fish frome home to eat.

Hey Mike:

Thanks for the report - sorry they didn't cooperate for you. I got a report from Greeson that the lake level is falling fast and the crappie there have a serious case of LOCK JAW!

The pressure was way up yesterday and today and we had to fish 17 to 19-feet deep for our gooduns - they had been up around 12 to 15-feet deep until the last cold front went through.

Hamilton is going to drop 5-feet over 6-days starting next week so that will mess them up there too.

Its been the same here for the last several days.Changing barometer,winds shifting direction,temps. up and down. It all adds up to -LOCKJAW!!
