Stockton 11-8-09 HEY GET OUT OF MY SPOT!!!!
Well Sam and I worked most of the day yesterday installing some new electronics on the boat................well I hadn't planned on going today but late last night I got the urge to go so I loaded up this morning and headed to Stockton. Put in at Ruark and stopped at the first brush pile I came to. Put my 10 footer together and had just dropped my lure in the water when this big ole boat comes roaring in and some guy yelling "HEY GET OUT OF MY SPOT". Yep, you guessed it.........POLEBENDER. Of course he's not in his boat so I had no idea who it was. He's traveling with a buddy of his and the guy in the back of th boat never seems to say much. Yep you guessed it, Buzzy. So we fished brush piles for most of the morning and the bit was slow. I was using a oranged headed jig with black and blue jig for something different. It was a beautiful morning with almost no wind. But around 10:30 or so the wind really picked up. Fish around these yawho's most of the morning and had a great time and enjoyed the conversation. Only had 4 in the boat when I left them and ended up with for more keepers in Old State Park cove and headed home with eight. Nothing to big, largest was 12 inches. Had a great time and the electronics worked just the way they should. Have no idea whey this one picture turned out so dark. Sorry.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
