It's VERY limp, affordable, and did I mention that it's AFFORDABLE?
You can't find MANY lines out there at 4-pound test, and when you do, they're high !

It depends on what kind of rod. Most of my jig poles are loaded with Mr. Crappie 6# while my crankbait trolling rods have 10# Mr. Crappie. The reason I switched from braid to Mr. Crappie is 1: Mr. Crappie line lays on the reel alot better and casts better than braid. 2: I dont know how they determine the test strength of Mr. Crappie line but I've pulled christmas trees weighted with concrete blocks up from the bottom using 6# line.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid 6 lb. test for my trollers and tight lines,very strong,last a very long time and I can see it to tie,lol.
Spider Wire 4 lb. test for my slip bobbers.Almost invisable,very small diameter.Very strong.
Cons,only with the Spider Wire,very tiny hard on bobber stops,to keep tight,and it's hard to see at night to retie if needed.

I started using Vicious Panfish Line this year and I like it so far. Using 2lb. for colder water and 4lb. in warmer water. Can detect light bites easily.Casts smooth and easy.

I swear I could pull a barge with Stren 6lb test xtra strength and Stren hi vis gold. Very good stout line for such a small test. I use to did not like trilene at all. I bought 2 different spools from 2 different areas and I could not even catch bluegill on it, the line broke with any decent size bluegill. I recently thought I would give trilene another chance and bought some 6lb smooth casting. I have to say, its not very stout, but it holds up, as far as the casting goes, it is some of the smoothest casting line I have ever used.

i got me some cajun red 6lb test. besides spooling it wrong an having to cast about 10 times to unspin it, its been great.
