    Re, Shaffer Lake.
    Are there any cheap motels close to the ramps? Might want to slip up there for a couple days and with the price of gas it would almost be as cheap to spend the night rather than driving back.

    I'm sure there are hotels in Monticello that would be cheap enough. Lots of tourist stuff around Indiana Beach. Do a web search of Monticello IN and it should list local hotels. I will ask my buddy that lives down that way for some info.

    Definately a lot of small motels near Lake Shafer, with the tourist season over for Indiana Beach, I am sure the rates are very cheap at this time of year.

    No it is most likely going to go up now. this weather is cold. Gas is still going up. I d just drive right back home
