I always start out with jigs / minnows...half and half...and let the fish tell me what they want....

as stated I do the same. I run 8 rods in front with jigs and minnows 2 on the sides and 8 in the back with various jig and minnow combinatios. I also use swivels to help with line twist

I think the basic difference in the two is...

Capps and Coleman rig (from top down)-
    - mainline to a 3way swivel-
    - one eye of 3way swivel has leader to a hook or jig
    - other eye of 3way swivel has a longer leader down to an egg sinker and a regular swivel
-bottom eye of lower swivel has leader to another hook or jig

    Kentucky rig (from top down)
    - mainline to a 3 way swivel or dropper loop
-one eye of 3way swivel has leader to a hook or jig
-other eye of 3way swivel has a longer leader down to another 3way swivel or dropper loop
-one eye of lower 3way swivel has leader to a hook or jig
-other eye has a leader down to a casting or bass sinker

Maybe someone will post a pic for you if they can find it...

    I'm Lazy.

I just use crappie rigs for spider-rigging and keep a few ready made on noodles. All I have to tie up is a leader for the jigs or hooks.
