    Default Humminbird Wideeye

Anybody know anything about the old Humminbird Wide Eye fish finders? With the 1993 software? Just aquired one at a yard sale for $10. turns on. Fits into the base of my 565. Anybody know if it will work with that transducer?

I doubt it very much. It probably won't even plug in.

plugs into 565 base AND turns on

but im not sure if the transducer will read right. Least I can do is try it out at a couple places where I KNOW what the bottom is like depth and see what happens.

Now that is really surprising. Certainly worth a try.

It should work fine. I have a humminbird wide that was made back in the late 90's that i interchange on my 565 base. It honestly shows structure better with the 565 transducer than the 565 does.

I might have to try that as I have one of each on my boat.
