Default Fun crappie project for kids - Crappie Magnets

Or for oldies who are kids at heart.

You know those crappie magnets that North American Fishing Club sends every year? You can find a perfect crappie picture and resize it using paint from windows so it fits on the magnet. Double stick tape the surface of the magnet and affix the picture to the magnet. You can then use scissors to cut the parts of the magnet and picture that don't quite fit, and you have a much better crappie magnet than the ones NAFC sends. You could also use blank magnet sheets and make any size crappie magnet you like and make a whole schools of crappies to put on your fridge or washer or whatever you want to stick some crappies too. You could even do the same thing with some crank bait, or jig pictures and have the crappies chasing lures around your fridge.

    Have fun!

Here is the one I did. Not a great pic, but I was in a hurry.

Here is the resized pic I made. It fits just right on those NAFC magnets. I didn't bother with photo paper, but if you used it you would get a much more vivid final product. In your print setup, at least in mine using Windows 7, uncheck fit picture to frame and print using the 3.5 x 5 template and the pic comes out just right for the magnet.

I did something similar for our Boy Scout high adventure trip. I had access to hundreds of 2'x2' magnet sheets, photoshop, and a laminator. Bought some Gorilla glue and went to town. I made signage for each vehicle going on the trip. Makes it easier to pick them out in a crowd, and lets other motorist know we are together. Hopefully keeping other motorist from jumping in between vehicles and seperating us.

Great idea to burn up the last two sheets I have.
