    Question Crappie on rubber worms???

We got that Basspro Strike IT game for xbox and when using a rubber worm I often catch Black Crappie?? Is the game confused or is that actually possible? The game is pretty fun if you can't get out and actually fish. Just wondering how accurate it is and if it's "just a game" or will it actually help me be a better fisherman.

Crappie will hit any bait at any given time. Have caught them on Bass Spinner baits even. And yes have even caught them on jumbo worms (17 inch). The really big Pike/ Muskee baits, have never had one on them tho, but have caught them on most other baits and lures. EB

Default Don't know about "plastic worms" ...

.. but, I did catch a 2lb Black Crappie on a 4" plastic craw, Bass fishing. ... so, with that in mind, I'd say it's "possible" that they'd hit a plastic worm. Though, I do wonder why I haven't caught any on a plastic worm ... seeing as how I've fished them for over 30yrs, at the same lake & same general location where I caught the one on a plastic craw. :p

As for the game ... it's just a game, so I doubt it is set to be selectively accurate. It's primarily a Bass fishing game, with the other species thrown in for effect ... IMHO

The biggest crappie I have ever caught came on a 6" swimbait while hybrid fishing. I guess you could catch a crappie on anything, but I doubt it would be very sucessful targeting them with worms.

    Default Senko's and buzzbaits

Ditto on the wacky rigged 5" senko(watermelon w/red flake)
Also caught them on 5/8 oz buzzbait(char head/red/white skirt)
I guess if they're hungary or startled they hit anything.
