I have tried several different jig eye cleaners but they always seem to break after only cleaning two or three jig heads . Then I have to use my pocket knife and the point on a big fish hook.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I don't use jigs a whole lot, but I've had one of these for probably 15 years
    and it's still working

Thats what I also use. They work for me. But I always make sure my jigs don't have painted eyes before they hit the post office to be mailed

Use a safety pin and keep one with you while fishing - easier to clean out the eyes when you are stocking up the tackle box.

Tip of a 1-1/4" #6 decking screw inside of a electrical connector. Twist back and forth and eye is clean!

I use unpainted jig heads with red hooks, don't have to worry about it!

A large safety pin does a good job of cleaning the "eye".
