    Default Wilson Walleyes

Heard some good reports last week on the Walleyes at Wilson. We tried it Saturday and only had 4 but all were nice keepers. There's some 20 inch plus fish being caught but mainly an early morning bite in deep water. One friend had a 24 and 26 inch fish one day last week. Water temps running in the mid to high 50's.
Drum bite was good and they look in great shape...should be since they have had Zebra Mussels to eat for a couple years.
My buddy's boat trailer had a flat just before we got back to town from Wilson Sat eve. Fairly new tires. When we put the spare on and started lowering the trailer...noticed that the outside back edge of the metal fender was hitting the tire.
Further examination revealed that someone had hit it with some sort of vehicle and bent it. White paint rubbed off the other vehicle. Probably happened in the ramp parking lot at Wilson. After 55 miles of rubbing against the tire...it finally blew.
Boat ramp in the state park also needs serious attention...big holes on 2 of the lanes. Not what bent the fender though.

Might want to see if the high temp alarm is damaged while you are at it. I'm no outboard expert...but mine has an alarm when the motor starts getting warm...

I was told that those alarms are sounded when you first turn the key on and if you don't hear them (which is an alarm warning itself) it's telling you your alarm isn't working and you should get things checked out.

I never gave much thought to why it beeps when you turn the key on. That is a good thing to note Lee.

That is a real bummer about the trailer. I have had friend trucks and trailers get damaged in the parking lots. In this small world we live in you would think someone would put a note on your truck.

I have been known to "help" people be honest when I witness things like that. I don't hesitate to write down their make/model/tag #, and also leave my own name and phone number as a witness to what happened. I would hope that somebody would extend the same courtesy to me if they saw my vehicle get damaged.
I am just pullin' your leg.:D
