    Default HD Report 10-16

Adam (wknd Warrior) and I headed over to HD this morning to break in my new boat in style. Still trying to figure out all the moans and groans of the new rig but we did break it in right. Tried a little of this and that and the bite was good from early morning to about 11 and then they shut off like a light switch again. We stayed at them for a couple of more hours with little success. We found them all over but 15 ft of water with a little trash about 8 foot down on red/chart slab busters seemed to be good but the also where biting on black/chart. A nibble or garlic seemed to help a little. All in all we caught about 150 and where 3 short of a two man limit. I will try and post a livewell picture a little later but I am trying to thaw out. The best part of the day as K and M in Spring Hill on the way home, that was worth the wait.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

We found them around Maryville the little bull bridge and up the little bull. I did not fish the west side but I would guess they are in your normal spots there to.

Doug(slabbyjoe) and I in my boat and Ron and Jim (springhillwantabe) in Ron's boat fished under the bridge today. While there we watched a couple of fellows fishing near by in a boat with a for sale sign on it. Iffen that was you fellows pulling fish out all morning WTG and by the way we were taking notes. :D

Doug and I only managed 9 legal crappie today but the white bass were willing and made it an enjoyable day for us even though we really didn't get into the crappie. We didn't get anything else going for us elsewhere today but we both felt like we had a better than expected day having not been on the water for eight days.

The breakfast at Ihop with the fellows started the day out in good fashion for me... even though having to endure the many lies. :D

    Lee,

I have a camo triton with a chocolate lab by my side. If we are catching something you are more than welcome to stop bye. We showed a couple of boats what we where doing and they got into a few also. Glad you got into a few.

Ok we did see you above the bridge along the northwest shore line with your dog. Doug and I came up to a couple of stickups along that shore line between you and the road. We didn't stay long and went back out to the tree line south and east of where you guys were tied up. We were in the red Lund tiller steer with the 60 hp Merc.

It sure was good to get back on the water, been three weeks since the boat got wet. And I still love the thump, had enough of them yesterday to call it a ok day. Springhillwantabe joined us for breakfast then to the lake, he fished the back seat of my tracker. Would of been a great day if would of just given me one of his new Cherkee rods, JIM christmas is coming soon. I used black and chartruse and john deere green most of the day, those put fish in the boat, we mainly fished around the bridge at HD.
