    Default More Big Lake shrimp

Went back out there this afternoon and caught a limit of nice shrimp. Pretty good day other than when I was going into the marsh, I noticed the water was too. Problem with this is that I only had about an inch of clearance from the top of the center console to the wier. Manage to catch the limit in about an hour but when I came back out, the water was about an inch too high and I knocked the center console up pretty good. Manage to get back to the launch but it looks like I will be re glueing and screwing a console this week.:o Any way here are the 2 pictures I took of the shrimp.

Nice catch- Next time try pulling your drain plug to take on a couple hundred pounds of water to lower your height some. It is a technique also used when slow-trolling to stabilize the boat in choppier conditions...make sure your bilge pump is working or you can use your aerator pump to empty the water for the run back in.
Thanks for checkin' on me! CURIOSITY takes me there, SUCCESS ushers me back!

Well, the plug is on the outside on this boat and the bilge has been acting up so that wasn't an option.:o But those are good ideas. :D Thanks

Trout should be starting up soon and the reds have been on.

VERY nice catch, I wish we had shrimp like that up here.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
