Can't Say Enough Except Sorry For Your Loss.
When I stumbled across this site, I was reading the threads and noticed that you guys gave Kit a tremendous amount of support when he had to put Holly his 11 year old dog down. That was one of the reasons I was compelled to sign up and be a member of this great forum.
Today, my "old man"(his nickname) was hit and killed.
His name was Elway, I got a call from my wife, I could tell from the tone that something wasn't right. It was rough, buried him this eve.
He was 11 yrs. old March 31, good guard dog, Chow-chow mix.
Can't see through my tears to type anymore, just thought I would throw this out to you 'cause I know you are all great folks.
Bugs, if you feel you need to move this to the "off topic" I understand.
I love you folks here.

Quinn, my thoughts are with you. I've been though the same thing myself. Keep your head up buddy. Time will help but there will always be a void. Just how it is. But again, your in my thoughts. I see no reason to move this to the "off topic".
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
Our thoughts are with you Quinn. Its hard to lose an old friend but remember the good times you had together.

Sorry for your loss.
My fiance just had to put her 12 year old lab down 2 wks ago. I hate to hear that you lost your buddy too. Hang in there rugs...
Simply put...theyre one of the family and certainly one that will never be replaced. As time passes you may get another dog and will grow to love him too, but Elway will be with you for the rest of your years. Sorry to hear you lost your pet.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
