Default Question for Tracker Boat Owners

Have any of you ever pulled a new transducer cable to the back of the boat. If so, how did you go about it?

Been a long time since I owned a tracker but most cables are in a track. If you have a cable run already and just want to replace it then use an electricians tape or a roll of thin wire, and hook on the end of the existing cable and then just pull the cable out bringing the tape or wire with it. Then just hook the new cable on the tape and pull the new cable thru and you are ready to go. EB

I used a fish tape, it's for pulling electrical wiring in conduit or raceway.
You can use just about anythink that you can push thur the track. You should be able to get to the wiring track by pulling the throttle control off, or atleast that's how I did it.
There's a good bit of room so it should not be to hard to pull it thur.

I'd use the old cable to pull 2 fish lines and use one to pull the new cable... leave one in the chase for next time.

Thanks for the replies! Is it really necessary to remove the throttle control? Think I'll try to fish it thru w/o doing that first.

Use a stiff tape measure (coiled metal kind). Fish the tape back from the console to the back of the boat through desired route. Then electric tape the the wire to the end of the tape and then pull it back through. Works good. CF

It's real easy to remove, just 4 screws and the whole panel the throttle control is mounted to will just lay toward the seat and be out of your way.
Other wise you have to fish your wiring around it.
