I dumped my gauge at 6 p.m. and in the last hour and a half picked up another inch and a half. It is really coming down, down here.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

If all this rain translates to how much snow we are going to get this winter...

we had over 3.5 inches in the gauge - north of Glasgow last night at 9 p.m. If we get a comparable amount of snow, I'll be snowed in even with the 4x4. I better stock up on supplies.

But Beagle has agreed to be more specific on his rain dances, Jack, so all may be ok.

Did not mean to put a hex on the situation, but I'd rather have the snow than the ice ANY DAY! Women in hot looking swimwear? Aren't you supposed to be fishing? Watching your line?

Default it was so bad here with the last ice storm

that I had to wear my Dad's baseball spikes from the 1800's to get out to the car to go to work. It was bad bad bad! Then my boss issued all of us "strap on" cleats so we had no excuses.
