Storing Rods in a boat

What are some good ways to store your crappie rods from one fishing hole to the other fishing hole without getting tangle up?

I (we) hook our hooks inthe bottom eye or hook ring. Warp your line around your rod several times till it gets tight. Lay them in the boat on top of each other and use a rubber band at the tips to keep them tight together. I use ten rods and once i remove the rubber band I can lift them one at a time without them tangling up at all. If they do stick I just wiggle and they ALWAYS come free (99&#37. i do the same when traveling just have a small tie I use at the rod handles to keep them tight on both ends. Again 99% of the time I just lift the rod up out of the boat and place in the holder no problem...

Looking at the rod saver on Monk's site that looks like a good idea too if you have the space. And if you order from monk it usualy arrivesin one day. How? Dunno? But every time I order from monk it comes next day it seems.

I have 1 & 1/2" PVC pipe cut about a foot long mounted vertical in my boat to hold my spider poles when running the big motor. Works for me.

heres my setup. it was cheap and easy to do, using black inch and half pipe. I also have 10 across the front of the rear bench seat. also works great for holding landing nets, gaffs, pliars, or anything else that needs a place to hang out while being used..

Try (if using crappie rigs) hooking the bottom hook in one of the eyes, looping the top hook once around the pole and hooking it into the bobber (if using one), then just wrap the bobber around the pole a few time and there you go, tangle free.
