    Default MTL help

I am planning on fishing mtl tomorrow, but i'm not sure what part of the lake i should target this time of year. If anyone fishes mtl and can point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it. I normally fish lick creek area, but i am open to other suggestions. Thanks for the help.

I was up there last Friday, you can fish where ever you want to....a guy from the DNR said the crappie bite DIED a week an a half ago! We fished from 7:00 am to 3:00pm and we had 9 fish...and they weren't nothing to brag about!!!! If you want crappie it would be cheaper to go buy it than go to MT! Please give a detailed report if you go.

I haven't crappie fished up there for several months now, but I will probably give her a shot this coming Sunday. I would keep an eye on the South Fork Resort Fishing Report page. Last year the fall fishing was great at Twain. From what I heard, the channel timber was still producing better than other places.

The most fish I saw was west of the 107 bridge, in South Fork. 20 to 30 feet out from the trees. Fished 2 days and had 1 keeper. Good Luck.

keep moving, the last few times there we ended up running 20-25 miles searching for the bite of aggressive fish. took many moves and miles to find them, and it changed each time with the fronts. good luck and fill up before you start. bruce
