    Default Bearing protectors- need opinions

I'm looking at the BPS bearing protectors. Normally I'd buy Bearing Buddies, but I'm stuck with a gift card. Anyone had any experience with BPS brand bearing protectors?

I put those on my trailer this spring(Mar) the 1.980 size been working just great. I do have the gray plastic covers on mine, which I take off every couple weeks to check press on them. Oops yes mine are bass pro but they have the red plastic indicator around inside of outside edge, so you just press on the red plastic rim & if it goes in it needs grease, only really needed it once after first trip after being repacked.

I'm sure if your wheel falls off and boat goes in the ditch they will allow you to return them. Not really. I think they look good I've got one on my trailer i put on when the oil bath went out and left me stranded ruining the hub.

You want to be sure and put the dust caps on them. It will keep the dust and dirt out of them while trailering. If it is warm out you may have to burp them to keep them on. If you push them on and they come part way off then push the center with your thumb and it will keep them tight. Kind of like burping them to get the air out that is trapped behind them. I have the Bearing Buddies but think any of them will work ok. Just have to be sure to check them periodically to make sure they have enough grease in them. EB
