Doug and I fished Pomona today from daylight till 5 pm. The breakfast at Green Acres was a high light for the day as expected.
Moochachew must have put a hurt on the lake and didn't leave many there last Sunday but we did manage a few.
We caught 60 total with 15 that we kept. We started out in the 110 arm dipping minnows in the timber. We caught a few short and only one keeper there.
Since my repertoire of waypoints are nil on Pomona we spent some time trying to find new waypoints. Only got three new waypoints marked and only one more keeper caught.
We ended up with our count working a point near the dam dragging heavy jigs around a point. I started catching some with tandem jigs (3/8's and a 1/4) with various plastic baits on both rods. Tried just putting minnows on one rod without plastic and that worked some but it was a sure thing to loose the other minnow every time a fish was caught. Ended up just using a single 3/8's oz with minnow on one rod and kept the tandems on the other rod with plastic. Both rods caught keeper fish with perhaps the minnows catching more fish total but not sure the minnows were better for catching the keepers.
The fish were caught at 15 ft depths where they were showing up on the graph.
