Default Suggestios for extending boat deck

Thought I'd ask for some suggestions or input regarding a project I'm considering taking on. I have an 18 ft fiberglass boat and would like to extend the front boat flooring and add a custom livewell. As you can see in the picture, the boat has a lot of floor space. The boat has a small front livewell already, but i've disconnected some time ago because with two people fishing off the front of the boat, you never could get to it.

I've always just taken a large plastic tote and cut a square out of the lid. Whenver I get to the spot I plan to fish, I fill the tote with water and use it for a temporary livewell. The back livewell isn't user friendly from the front of the boat.

Just thought I could make this a winter project and was hoping someone could offer some suggestion.

I would keep the floor space if it were me.

    Exclamation

Keep the floor space ... live wells of any size up front add A LOT of extra weight ... keep that weight in the back to keep that boat running at its best.

    My 2 cents

I vote for floor space as well. Get a cooler and plumb it with a pump and sprayer. Keep a short piece of hose to screw to sprayer for use as a pumpout when done.

Get one with a lid like this for easy fish drop.

Leave the cooler at home when you don't need it and you still have all that valuable space.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

another vote for the cooler/live well. Go ahead and replace the cheap plastic hinges that come on the cooler with stainless steel ones while you're plumbing it and save yourself some aggravation.
