You might stick to the areas around Hawthorne. Talala Creek has been extremely slow since right before the front. I had to watch my 3 year old yesterday, so I decided to take her out with me. Once again, all the spots I had been catching them at are no go. I bet I trolled every point to be found. I also went out and trolled the bank on the main lake from 7' to 30' and came up with one 9" Crappie that hit around 22' in open water. I fished the front line of trees, and caught 2 more right off the bottom all the way over to the channel near the South bank. I even tried slow trolling the middle of the creek at 20' to 30' to see if any were suspended there. It's almost like the post spawn pattern from earlier this year when I was getting spanked on a regular basis. Perhaps they ARE just stuffed and not hungry from feeding on all the shad that are still present, I don't know.

Is the CAST tourney this weekend?
