Good question.
For me, right now, is neither. Neither one has the lakes I fish.
Need all the advice I can get on which is better. Thanks for you help.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
Take a look at their websites and decide based on the coverage for the lakes you regularly fish.
I have the Navionics that came preloaded on my Humminbird. It doesn't cover the small lakes I like to fish, but it does have "background" information for the areas. You just have to get used to "crossing land" sometimes because the survey they used to create the outline of the lake is off.
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged
I have had fishin hot spots. It wasn't very accurate. I've seen the new Navionics Platinum on a HDS unit and it was AWESOME!!!!! It was also pretty accurate but it won't show contours(sp?) shallower than 5 feet.
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!
Everything else being equal, Navionics is more detailed, and has more maps... I'd take it hands down, providing your main fishing areas are covered, which they probably are.
