Do you have Model # on this Rod.
we use 1/16 to 1/8oz jigs this rod will be fishing around cyprees trees in the spring and tree tops the river.
We fish in the tops, most top are in 20+ feet of water and the top start at the surface and go all the way to the bottom. You can give a inch to these crappie or they get you rap around the first limb they come to.

I build on Steelhead blanks because quite frankly most long rods on the market are too wimpy for brush rods. Model IST1264F in 10'-6" 10-17lb. line / 3/8-1oz. lure rating is a good choice for that type of cover, .590 butt and a 5/64th. tip blank weight is 4.23 ozs.
I may not be the least expensive but if you cant find a factory rod that works I can fill your needs.

You might want to look at the BnM Brushcutter poles.

Check out the Todd Huckabee line of Quantum rods. A little pricey but excellent quality, and the "meatdragger" I think will be what you are looking for. Just my 02 worth. In addition, I tried a lot of others and these were the best by far. Good luck
