Looks like you're over a brush pile or a stake bed that rises up to about half the depth of the water......so it's about 5-6 ft tall....
Hard to tell what kind of fish they are unless you catch one of them....
I have heard that crappie will "stack" like in your 2nd pic......

Also if you happen to catch a crappie when you see "structure" on your DF.... toss out a marker buoy and fish it thoroughly....
crappie are generally a "schooling" fish.....where there is one...there are probably more real close by....

one more ? to go with the others how do i know how far from the boat the transducer is picking up.its a skimmer on both units. i do know that crappie usually school but dont know where to start casting at them.like if thats brush in the pic is it under the boat or 20 yards away?
If the transducer is straight down, then the fish are under the boat.
If your in 12 foot then it is basically a 12 foot circle around the boat. 20 foot then a 20 foot circle and so on.
What does it look like if you turn the fish images off?
Don't outsmart your common sense!
