    Default 69 degree water today.

Found water today that was 69 degrees. Rest of the river was 78.9 degrees. Man I was like a kid, just thinking how that cool water was going to hold fish like crazy.
Did catch 12 nice punkin seed bream there, but no crappie. So guess the fish did not like the cool water after all.

Water temps here are 76-77 degrees today. with our day time highs are in the low 70's and even in the 60's and the overnight lows are in the lower 50's and even in the upper 40's some nights. I thought the water temps would be lower but was surprised today to see that they are still in the upper 70's. EB

Fished around Perryville on Monday and the water was 79. We tore up the green carp on top water. Biggest was 5.7 lbs.

This water was back up in a creek, never seen the water that cool there. But you can bet I keep an eye on this section. Must be a new spring popping up there. As theres a section about 50 yards that is just as cool as it can be.

Thats what I was thinking. Found a spring in a lake, and hot weather or dead of winter there stacked on it taking numbers to get in the comfort zone.
Also plan on adding about 5 big PVC beds around the spring in that lake.:D.
