Only kept 25 fish. Fishing in 10ft. of water off bank. Picture in the middle is a slip that I use. I cut it in half and have two slip floats. Of course red/white crappie tube. Could of filled a Cooler full if I wanted to fish all day. I was fishing bye myself. Had a blast.

Nice catch. And from the bank. I caught 18-20 from a boat dock this morning, before the sun came up. Fishing on Hell's Canyon lake.

Nice catch Ken. Looks like some fine eating you have there and you did it all from the bank. Seems like you can catch them at will so no reason to put up too many in the freezer. That's the way I like them, scale them while they're still jumping and throw into hot grease. Nothing better than fresh sac-au-lait.

My kids used to catch crappie and bluegill off the dock at Black Sands. We caught many at Cottonwood, also. Cottonwood is very nice now that they have remodeled it. If the county would just pave the road.... :D

Nice to meet you and the Mrs. at the launch ramp on Brownlee yesterday. How did you guys do?

Yes, the pleasure was ours! We wish that we had more time to visit but you had clients and we had fish to catch.:D We went to the spot that you suggested and began catching crappies but the wind increased and made boat control very difficult. Mary fished and I tried to hold the boat. WE finally gave up and moved back to the Powder channel but didn't find any more fish. We picked up 20 there in the Snake channel, so we were happy and thanks again. All total, we came home with 47.

Thanks jbledsoe. Being that you live in Oregon maybe we could hook up and catch a few crappie and some sturgeon. I was tagging sturgeon for the Idaho Fish and Game. In twenty months I and my partner taged 378 fish. My count now is over 1000 fish caught from my boat. Its okay if people don't believe it thats their problem. I catch crappie year round at CJ Strike. I also catch Sturgeon year round. Going out after crappie either monday or Tuesday will post results. Then the following sunday going to a lodge with wife and couple friends. We'll be in the back country after cutthroat trout and Eastern Brook Trout. Later.

The young fellow at the head caught this fish. The other boy at the tail caught one just as big.

,

I hooked one (I think it was a Sturgeon) in the Snake R. on a crappie rig. The fish never slowed down, fried the drag on my reel, broke two rod guides and stripped all my line. I never saw it.

JBLEDSOE-Had a good time fishing with your wife and you. We had 20 fish that we caught. Wasn't bad for the amount of time we fished. Gave the fish to one of my neighbors down the road. See you later. Ken
