typo? maybe?
"Alabama River, Montgomery, Alabama, recently has opened a lot of eyes with a tournament stringer of seven fish weighing more than 32 pounds." This is a quote from Ronnie Capps' Top Picks for Slab-Crappie Lakes on page 52 of Cabela's Outfitters Journal October, 2009. I was wondering if anyone else saw this article? This seems unreal for someone to catch 7 fish over 4 lbs each in a season much less in a single tournament.
typo? maybe?
PB Wht. Crappie 2.48 lbs 02-12-2011
Seven crappie averaging over 4.5 pounds? I'll believe it when I see it.
There's just SOME things I gotta see to believe and this is one of 'em.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
That was a 2 day total. Not 1 day.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.
Yeah, it was 14 fish, not 7:
Alabama River, Millbrook, AL. Smash 2 Day Records!
Google is your friend.
I've heard the wind blow but never so hard!
I think Cabela's just got the story wrong.
Bass guys fishing Guntersville had several finish a 4 day tourney with over 100lbs, I think win was 107lbs for 4 days. That's a big average. But 4 1/2 lb crappie? I want to fish that hole!!!
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
