Does Anyone Know How To.......

......make this scale read in pounds and ounces. Just what are those Rapala folks thinking anyway. They need bopped up the side of their heads for this. I don't think there are many US anglers that read their fish weights in kilograms and I sure don't. I would have sworn when I took it out of the package and put a battery in it it was reading in pounds and ounces. What numsculls they are. When it first comes on while still flashing it shows pounds but after taring itself it is only in the metric mode.

The other scale I had had two buttons on it and worked fine but like all electronics it ceased working. This piece of crappie only has one button on it.

I would say to press and hold the button for a few seconds maybe up to 10 to make it switch from kg to lbs. According to the picture it uses both kg and lbs. Can't be to fancy so just hold the button a little longer I would say. I take it you don't have the instructions anymore. If you can't figure it out. Go back to the store you got it from and check another package for the instructions. EB

EB thanks for the reply. Holding the button down a long time or not it always quits flashing in the metric mode. Kind of looks like I'm the only one stupid enough to buy this chineese crapola. Looks like another trip back to Bass Pro.

Tom I'm too old to get switched over to the metric system even though I used it in school and while I was gainfully employed.

I had a different model with the same problem. Mine didn't come with any instructions on how to change from kg to lb. Can't remember how I pressed the button to get it to switch.

Try....holding the button several seconds while you turn it on.
Try....pressing the button while it tares.
Try....pressing the button while it is weighing something.
Try....holding the button while it is weighing something.

Sorry but mine is a Cabelas brand that has 2 buttons, well it really looks like just one but a close look shows its really 2. There U just hold down both buttons for 30 seconds to switch between kg & lbs........
