Default Just got in from Lake...Wow...

Not wow for the fishes, but wow what a trol motor. Thanks Weez for pulling me name from the hat...haha...Only had one problem with it. Somehow I had bumped the "rabbit" button and when I pushed the "go" button, it almost threw me out of the boat. I grabbed my rod holder and it came loose from the deck. The troller was pointed 90 degrees left. What a thrill...

The wind was from the north at a constant 15 to 20 mph. The lake was churning pretty good, but I now can hang in there. Fish were not very co-operative (only 6 keepers). Caught most fish in about 6 ft to 8 ft water. Landed 4 nice bass. Bill Dance would have been proud. ha.

I was not prepared for that north wind. I almost froze to death. It was fun. I had a large time just being out....

Hey Tom.....sounds like you really liked that trolling motor. Glad you got some thrills from the crappie population too. Mt poor ol' TM wouldn't have a chance against that strong a wind. Time for an upgrade..... :D

Glad to see you got the trolling motor mounted and field tested. Now you need an Oh sh** bar installed. Hey, if anyone see a boat chasing a guy around Kentucky Lake please stop and give him a hand. LOL!

I know that feeling. First time I used the Power pad 65. It was turned to the left. And on high. The boat went one way. Me the the other. Sure was glad to have a big boat.
Or i would have been wet..LOL

Hey Tom, I put a 65 on that pontoon that I rebuilt and it will hold in some fairly high winds. Not to mention you don't have to go back and crank the big motor if your only moving a couple of hundred yards or so to the next hole.

Glad to hear you had a great weekend.
