    Default Crappie-By-Catches


    It seems 45% of the time,We Crappie fisherman catch other fish while searchin'for those slabs.I'd like to see what other fisherman catch.Caught this dude with a 1/8 Road Runner with a Bass Asassin 2"Swim Bait while probing around some bridge pillars.....

    Don't have a picture, but I caught and landed a 24 lb flathead catfish on a 1/16 oz jig couple years back... 6lb test stren.

    What is that in the bottom picture? Looks like something out of the ocean.

    It is a Rio Grande perch. The Catfishemen say they are great bait for the flathead catfish. They are not as abundant as bluegill perch but are in good numbers down here in South Texas. This one weighed .75#.

    Talking My by-catches ...

    6lb LM Bass ... jig/minnow on 5ft UL w/4lb test mono (no pic taken)
    Numerous Freshwater Drum, Channel Cats, & Flatheads (no pics taken)

    Then there's these fellows, that did get their pics taken :

    12lb Tiger Muskie ... 1/16oz Marabou Roadrunner on 6ft UL w/ 4lb test mono


    4lb SM Bass ... minnow/hook & sinker/slipfloat on 6ft UL w/4lb test mono (total of 3 of this size, to date):
