    Default BnM in saltwater?

Has anybody used their BnM rod for anythin other than crappie like for green carp, brown carp, white perch, or saltwater fish for that matter? I caught smallmouth bass and stream trout (rainbows and brookies) on my BnM floatnfly. I thought of taking it to the beach with me to use as a light speck rod for tossing free lined live shrimp, minnows, and 1/8 oz grubs. It could also be used to catch small blues on little kastmaster spoons, tattered rooster tails, and rapala plugs.
Oh I could wrestle a monster fish

Well i saw PAW PAW GENE ( louisiana board ) bring in a 17 or 18 inch red fish with a 10 ft BnM jig pole. So it will do it but after watching him i would not go out and target big salt water fish with mine I don't know how long it would last
    Just my two cents:D

I use a 10' crappie rod for speckle trout fishing when I use a slip bobber with live bait in deeper water. The longer rod helps keep the slip knot out of the reel for better casting. Sometimes I use two 12' crappie rods when trolling for spanish. I put them in a rod holder that sticks almost straight out to the side. They work just like using outriggers.

We catch Channel cat over 6 lbs on 12' Bucks Jig Poles. Even went out one morning targeting Cats with them for kicks. :D

I bet they would work, just don't try using any of your 4lb test nonsense. Use at least 8lb fireline.
