fished southfork saturday but fishing was slow. water had dropped 5ft from last weekened and 5 degrees in temp. tried shallow and deep. managed to catch 3 with one 14inches. no minnows just bobby garland baits. the shad were not visible on the surface either. as i told my son, we could have been home mowing the yard.

WTG Slab, 14 incher, nice going. Hang in there, with this cool weather, try up those creeks. Watch the banks and try shallow. How was the clarity of the water?

Not much better for me on Sunday, I managed five keepers (1-12incher, 1-11 and 3-10's) had to fish hard for those. Fished Lick Creek, flats, channel banks covered a lot of water. Most bites came in twelve foot of water right off the bottom (jigs). Minnow bite has not been there for me this year. Any guesses for the weekend? Heading up with my two sons (9 & 12). Hopefully, once the cold front runs its course it should get better.
