No joke. Had to take some fishing line and double wrap it then put it around the shank of the hook in the bend and tell him to bite down on his teeth cause it might hurt a little. His brother was casting and hooked him. Said it didn't hurt when it came out, thank goodness. God bless.

next time take your fishing pliers, cut the barb off (might straighten out the hook first if you can) THEN pull it out.
